Want us to tell you when Mt. Joy plays near you?
That’s the whole point of following. We’ll only ever ping you about bands and places you follow — never a digest, never “someone saved an event.”
You get exactly one shot at the iOS permission dialog — say it at the wrong moment and a “Don’t Allow” is permanent. So we never spend it in cold onboarding. We spend it the first time someone taps Follow, when the payoff is concrete and in their own words: “you just followed Mt. Joy — want us to tell you when they play?” Our own warm pre-prompt earns the tap; the OS dialog only appears after they’ve already said yes to us.
